As oil filters have to meet different requirements in various areas, they can be in different forms:
Oil Filter Elements: Oil filter elements are either placed in their own housings or they are directly integrated to the motor greasing system. In this case, as only the filter element is replaced, it is more environment friendly. The housing and valves stay on the motor block. Complete placing of oil filter elements in the container ensures filters to be completely impermeable.
Atom Oil Filters: Atom oil filter constitutes a single-piece unit which contains the body and filter element. During the maintenance, the whole unit is replaced. The parts mentioned below can be integrated:
-Single-way Valve: It prevents the oil in oil channels and filters to return to the casing when the motor is stopped and ensures that there iş oil in channels when the motor is started.

Main Flow Filter: The main flow filters are placed in circulation system, all oil to be cleaned reaches to the system after is passes through the filter.
Combined Main and Auxiliary Flow Filters: 90-95% of the oil is transmitted to the system from the main flow filter which is folded in star shape and 5-10% of it is transmitted to the system from the by-pass filter or from the centrifuge filter which moves with oil pressure. Hence precise and sensitive filtration is ensured. High amounts of soot particles in diesel engines decrease the quality of the motor oil. As the oil becomes more contaminated, its viscosity increases (it fluidity decreases) and it becomes less effective. Contaminated greasing oil increase the abrasion in the motor and shortens its life time. As overused oil cannot ensure sufficient greasing, it cannot prevent damages on the bearings. In order to handle the increased soot content in the greasing oil and prolonging the maintenance periods at the same time, auxiliary flow filters are important. In by-pass system, 5-10% of greasing oil passes through the very fine unprocessed cotton metarial or paper material or it is filtrated by the centrifuge filter which has a motor made of plastic and which moves with oil pressure. Hence the amount of soot in the oil circuit decreases.
Depending on the measure of centrifugal filter, oil pressure and viscosity, it reaches to revolutions more than 10,000 rpm. The centrifugal filter process nearly 10% of the oil. It efficiently separates all particles which is denser than the greasing oil. This means that it can separate soot particles which are smaller than 1/1000 of millimeter from the oil.
